Putting Your House In Order - 4 weeks (9/3-9/24)

No matter what age or stage of life you’re in, it’s a good time for Putting Your House in Order! This class will include the spiritual, emotional, and practical pieces of putting your house in order as well as discuss how to leave a lasting legacy. Each participant will also receive a Putting Your House in Order binder filled with information, checklists, and easy-to-use forms for gathering all the key information and recording – not just the facts – but participants’ intentions, hopes, and values.

Each class is stand-alone—so jump in anytime, pick the projects you like, and enjoy laughter, hands-on fun, and moments to grow in faith and friendship. Come create something beautiful and connect with community along the way!

Sept 3 – Goodness of God – Jesus Loves You - Jesus calls us to be disciples. Discuss ways to share the love of Jesus and give out “Jesus Loves You” bracelets. (Tammy Martin)

 

Sept 10 - Rock Painting – Paint rocks with a #FirstChurchSedalia tag and QR code. Participants can take rocks home to keep or distribute around town. 

Sept 17 - Succulents with the Green Team– plant succulents in unique mini holders. Bring your tea cups, mini pots etc. We’ll have some on hand to pick from as well. (Edith & Don Lambertz) 

 

Sept 24 – Photo Tile– Bring your favorite photo.  Size 4 x 4

Oct 1 - Messy Bracelet –  Make and take a Messy Bracelet as reminder that God is always with us. (Tammy Martin)

Oct 8 - Pumpkins – made from dryer vents.  Decorate and take home. (Penny Coerver)

October 15 - Operation Christmas Child – Information on OCC and make jump ropes out of t-shirts  (Karen Cairer)

Oct 22 - Writing 101? - In this session, whether you’re a writer at heart or not, you’ll learn some new techniques to express your thoughts.  We’ll discuss blogging, different types of journaling, and where to get inspiration.  Come prepared to brainstorm and put a few thoughts on paper!
