First United Methodist Church of Sedalia is proud to announce that we will serve as one of 500+ churches around the world to host the Night to Shine prom sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation. Night to Shine will simultaneously be held by all host churches on Friday, February 9, 2024 from 6:00pm – 9:00pm.
Night to Shine operates on a 1:1 volunteer to guest ratio. This unforgettable night is made possible with the many volunteers that come together every year. Volunteers must be 14 and older. Registration, background check, a media release form, and volunteer training is required. Through God’s blessings and your involvement, Night to Shine 2024 will bless 100+ individuals and families. ABOUT NIGHT TO SHINE
We didn’t forget about the loved ones that support our Kings and Queens. We want to honor these incredible parents, family members and caretakers for their lifetime commitment to their loved ones with special needs. We’d like to provide these remarkable people with an opportunity to rest and enjoy a night off, knowing their loved ones are having an amazing time in a safe environment with a personally assigned “buddy.” The respite room will be for caretakers to relax and enjoy complimentary food and entertainment.
We feel strongly about offering every honored guest the opportunity to be celebrated and experience God’s love, even if they are not able to physically come to Night to Shine. Just as Christ meets us where we are, we want to meet these incredible individuals and their families where they are by providing access to celebration and community no matter their needs. An adaptive virtual option is available for the Kings and Queens experiencing a disability or circumstance that prevents them from attending in-person. A crown, party favors, and access to the Tim Tebow’s Night to Shine virtual celebration will be provided.
